COHUNA residents are being asked to consider fluoridation in a bid to improve oral health.<\/p>\n

A drop-in information session has been organised for Tuesday, August 4, at the Gateway to Gannawarra Centre on King George St, Cohuna.<\/p>\n

Fluoridation is credited with strengthening teeth against tooth decay and preventing cavities.<\/p>\n

According to the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), 90 per cent of Victorians have access to optimally fluoridated drinking water.<\/p>\n

Dr Virginia Dickson-Swift, from La Trobe Rural Health School, and Helen Walsh, from DHHS, will be joined by the shire’s Narelle O’Donoghue to answer questions on the value of water fluoridation.<\/p>\n

The information session runs from 1:30pm to 3pm.<\/p>\n
