I have been thinking a lot recently about the moment when humans began to devolve, and the point at which humanity became a species within the unavoidable throes of its own social, cultural and intellectual entropy. Mainly this question came about so as to try and answer why so many people could be easily duped into thinking the earth was flat. <\/p>\n

Flat Earthers are but one example of proof that humanity is in decay as a species. The proof is all around us now from art, to culture, to economics and social breakdown. Many humans do not even  look like humans any more and many are speeding up the mutation with cosmetic surgery and self chemical castration. <\/span><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/div>\n
It is mainly the abundance of bullshit and bling which is preventing us from coming fully to the realisation that we exist within a dystopian environment. At this point in human development, we are merely short-sighted rats living inside in the most brightly wallpapered sewer and the vast majority are too busy admiring the patterns on the wallpaper to notice the sea of toxic shit flowing around our ankles and getting closer to our knees. <\/span><\/div>\n

THE WORLD OF MEN IS SHIT<\/p>\n

I tried hard not to put the time lime of this flip over into deterioration at the end of the heyday of my own youth as many are inclined to do. I swore from a young age I would never join in with the ‘in my day…’ platitudes of the obsolete and irrelevant. <\/span>Likewise, I did not want to pin the turning point on some stereotypical crisis moment in recent history. Such as the 9\/11 attacks in New York in 2001. It is far too easy to pick a ‘spectacular’ or personally meaningful event during the course of one’s own life in order to pin a highly personal narrative upon our own bitterness and prejudices concerning<\/span> the fall of humanity. <\/span><\/div>\n


However, I will say this. Despite my eh, advancing years – although, delusionally still feeling like I am 19 on the inside – I can say with absolute certainty that we are living in a period of implosion and decay. The human story is passed its zenith and heading towards…something.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
That something may in fact be a glorious second Enlightenment<\/i> when the shit in the sewer has reached the top of the pipes and the distracted and now drowned rats find themselves floating above their once beloved wallpaper. This time, perhaps a humanity which gives equal time to both the spirit and the mind. As individuals, it is still all to play for if we want to get there.<\/span><\/div>\n

In any case, this blog post is not about the individual. It is concerned solely with society and the story of our species. The ancient tribes may well endure in some form, the overall great plan of our leadership is forever broken. No matter what, I will strive to be one of the rats not spellbound by the wall paper on the sewer walls and make my own escape out of a drain hole and into the unknown above. At least I’ll avoid drowning in the excrement of popular consensus. <\/span><\/div>\n

I look at the Twitter feed of Peter Sutherland in sheer amazement at how one of the most appalling globalists on the planet, and who has overseen the crimes of Wall Street, can lecture the rest of us on morality and inclusion. When you have a situation whereby the supreme expression of corporatism is singing from the same hymn sheet as socialists, you know the end is approaching. What that end is? I won’t be around to find out when it happens. However, I am acutely aware that the silver ball on the pinball machine has escaped the two flippers and is returning into the abyss. The game is over.<\/span><\/div>\n

SO WHEN WAS THE TURNING POINT?<\/span><\/div>\n

Looking back over the recent history of humanity I think I have located the moment in time when the fall of man became a trajectory of absoluteness. At the risk of sounding predictably trite, the fall of man began on January 22, 1984, during a break in the third quarter of the live broadcast of Super Bowl XVIII between the Washington Redskins and the Los Angeles Raiders<\/span>.<\/span><\/div>\n

While Americans slurped upon another beer and shoved a pre-GMO slice of pastrami on Wonder bread into their mouths, a montage of images which paid homage to Fritz Lang’s classic movie Metropolis<\/i> appeared before them. Scenes of people walking in catatonic unison along a semi-transparent tube. This then cut briefly to a young woman dressed as an athlete and carrying a large hammer, who in turn, is being chased by a sinister security force. Eventually she runs into a large auditorium and hurls the hammer towards the screen where a Big Brother<\/i> type leader is featured and giving the following political address:<\/span><\/div>\n

“Today, we celebrate the first glorious anniversary of the Information Purification Directives. We have created, for the first time in all history, a garden of pure ideology\u2014where each worker may bloom, secure from the pests purveying contradictory truths. Our Unification of Thoughts is more powerful a weapon than any fleet or army on earth. We are one people, with one will, one resolve, one cause. Our enemies shall talk themselves to death, and we will bury them with their own confusion. We shall prevail!”<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n

The giant screen then explodes upon the hammer hitting the Big Brother<\/i> persona and the tag line “On January 24th, Apple Computer will introduce Macintosh. And you’ll see why 1984<\/i> won’t be like Nineteen Eighty-Four” which scrolls up from the bottom of the TV screen.<\/span><\/div>\n

Then, in gaslighting terms the female athlete representing the Apple corporation destroys the words issued by the Big Brother and puts us all into a Desktop Computing Dystopia instead. This was the moment when the wall paper went up on the sewer wall.<\/p>\n

On the surface, it may seem as if the Apple Corporation was going to do with personal computing what Little Richard did with Rock and Roll. Put it into everyone’s hands. That is precisely just what happened, and we now live in a world built in the images of Justin Bieber and Mylie Cyrus as a result. <\/span><\/div>\n

At that moment in 1984, we had then reached the fateful event which Joseph Campbell had warned us about in the decades before he died: the moment when technology would override our culture to the point where we could no longer create a living mythology to compensate for the changes.  <\/span>Steve Jobs was going to do it for us, while the other head of that snake, the appalling Bill Gates, was to supply the lubricants to get us there. Anyone else who tried to get in their way was eaten up in their Unification of Cyber Thought.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
Three decades on since the 1984 Apple Macintosh Superbowl<\/i> half-time commercial, rather than people becoming more independently minded and unslaved from corporations and bureaucracies, we instead have thousands of people worldwide camping outside Apple stores salivating in anticipation of their latest products. Not a chance of an athlete with a hammer in sight. <\/span>The enslavement of humanity now completed and the downward trajectory is fully secure. <\/span><\/div>\n

On old maps of cities you can tell a lot about the society at the time. In the 19th century<\/i> urban landscapes were dotted with ‘Lunatic Asylums’ created and populated due to chronic nutritional deprivation among the poor leading to a breakdown in their cognitive processes. Maps today are now covered with Starbucks locations filled with the chronic intellectual deprivation of people all racing each other frantically to the bottom of the nicely wallpapered shit hole<\/span> around them. <\/span><\/div>\n

We now live in a world, thanks to the personal computing revolution, where delusions, hatreds, and psychosis can be spread around the world in a microsecond. The compensatory mythology has lost so much ground against our social ‘trajectory’  (I won’t say evolution), that our collective psyches simply cannot cope. There are no more accessible archetypes within most people’s deep cognition to warn them when to stop and apply the brakes on our ‘OMG!’ reactions. <\/span>

<\/span>People have become borg-minded and collectively delusional only to lose their compassion due to the lightening speed of the Internet supplying them with the addictive memes and tropes surrounding all kinds of events from sports to celebrity gossip to science and culture. An image of a child in the Middle East with its brains hanging out, shared on social media followed by a waffle recipe from the same person within seconds of one another.<\/p>\n

Collectively, the human psyche finally gave up for good when the likes of Meet the Kardashians <\/i>became the supplied compensatory mythology. The Kardashians were not the end of civilisation, just the validation that we are now ending the present human story. The final validation that the game is over and we have no more coins to place in the pin ball machine of civilisation. The fact that many thousands of people around the world now believe that the earth is flat should be the final nail in the alternative culture coffin, which until that point may have presented our last chance of a collective escape. Perhaps the Satanists are correct when they say it is natural for humans to destroy themselves, so why try to stop them?<\/p>\n

The Apple 1984 commercial was the turning point. 1984 would not be like 1984, it would be like 1983, then 1982, then 1981 and so on…but with technology to guide us towards the head lice eating existence of our primitive ancestors, and without the cultural magnificence which humans had created leading up to <\/span>January 22, 1984.<\/p>\n

SO HOW DO WE SURVIVE?<\/span><\/div>\n

Give up on there ever being a great awakening. The sleep of death is upon the world. It is your personal duty to look for an open drain to lead yourself and the ones you love out of the wallpapered sewer. Once you realise this, and that only you can save yourself, then the archetypes and personal mythology you need will arise up from deep within your cognition to assist you. Steve Jobs is rotting in his grave, while Bill Gates is taking our nature and putting it inside his large storage freezer for himself alone up in the Arctic on the top of a planet which thousands and thousands now believe is flat and not a globe.<\/p>\n
