Kasich Talks UFOs Again !<\/p>\n

On March 11, in the Republican debate, Ohio Governor and presidential candidate John Kasich said “Now there are more 18-\"Governoryear-olds who believe they have a better chance of seeing a UFO than a Social Security check.”<\/p>\n

It appears that Kasich has been reading the Presidents UFO Website as he sees to have picked up one some presidential UFO history. He has been reading UFO history because Bill Clinton told this exact joke 8 times while President. Here are a couple of examples from an article I wrote many years ago:<\/p>\n

On at least eight different occasions and locations, Clinton compared UFO sightings and Social Security. The general UFO\/social security reference made by Clinton resembled the line he used in West Orange, New Jersey, at a DNC Dinner. “And everyone knows,” said Clinton, “there are surveys which show that young people believe it is more likely that they will see a UFO than that they\u2019ll every draw Social Security.”<\/em><\/p>\n

On a couple occasions, Clinton would double up on the UFO reference and add a comment about one of his favorite shows- x-files, such as he did at Georgetown University.<\/em><\/p>\n

You know, there was a recent poll which said that young people in the generation of the students here felt it was far more likely that they would see a UFO than that they would draw Social Security . . . It’s very important you understand this. Once you understand this, you realize this is not an episode from the X Files, and you’re not more likely to see a UFO if you do certain specific things.[1]<\/a><\/span><\/b><\/em><\/p>\n

This is not Kasich’s first danced with UFOs. When Daymond Steer at the Conway Newspaper talked to him he reported to me “.Kasich said he doubts it but added a caveat.\u201dI don’t so, except in Area 51,” said Kasich. “My brother-in-law says if I become president, his No. 1 thing is for me to open all books on Area 51.”<\/p>\n
