Fluoridated water a non-issue in Regina according to Mayor

Regina’s mayor says despite a new study out of Alberta that shows a higher increase in cavities in cities that don’t fluoridate their water, it’s not a hot topic among voters.

Michael Fougere says in Regina, people aren’t asking for the city to start use fluroride. Saskatoon does fluoridate its water.

Fougere says there seems to be lots of reports that say fluoride is good, and lots that say it is dangerous.

Regina has held plebiscites on the issue in 1954, 1958 and 1985, and each time voters have rejected fluoride.
