Noddy is now a detective in new CGI reboot

He’s a fixture in the childhood of millions, but now Enid Blyton’s Noddy is being revamped as a hardboiled detective in a CGI animated show from the makers of Kung-Fu Panda.

OK, “hardboiled” might be stretching it, but Noddy, Toyland Detective is very much a real thing. Co-produced by DreamWorks Animation Television and France’s Gaumont Animation, the series will see the cheery wooden boy solving mysteries and investigating the world around him in 52 educational adventures, of 11-minutes each. The series will premiere on France Télévisions’ France 5 network next spring, ahead of an international rollout.
