The familiar latticed electricity pylons that criss-cross the British countryside could soon be joined by smaller designs that have less of an impact on the landscape. New “T-pylons”, which are a third lower in height and have a smaller footprint will be used to connect low-carbon facilities to the UK’s electricity grid.
