That’s because it is now very likely that a new state agency will be set up to manage the water charge collections for Denis O’Brien – this is what Brendan Ogle and his HIGHLY FUNDED and MEDIA INDULGED ‘team’ were probably created and employed to do.
It was never about preventing water charges from coming into place, but rather, the protests were taken over by Public Sector Trade Unions/Civil Servants with the aim of easing water charges in through a side door under the mirage of ‘a people’s protest’. Water charges are coming in with even more union jobs and civil servant safeguards/’entitlements’ along with them. I can assure you lots of golf has been played on luxury championship courses in recent months and Irish Trade Union leaders have been improving their handicaps immensely.
Irish people have to finally understand that the Public Sector Trade Unions in Ireland are not the voice of the people. They are the Orwellian Inner Party who, via years of ‘entitlements’ such as Partnership, Croke Park Agreement and so on, act a buffer between the masses and the Irish Political and Business Elite whom they see as their paymasters and will fanatically defend them no matter which party is in Government, as their own greed validation is dependent on their unconditional servitude to the System.
Ask yourself, who are these individuals who are moderators and also the most prolific poster on sites such as politics.ie and boards.ie – shouting down any real voice of dissent as being a ‘conspiracy theorist’, or calling the genuine protesters ‘skangers’? They are CIVIL SERVANTS and they are doing this voluntarily. They know who butters their bread. If you do not believe me, then start a thread or create posts questioning Civil Service pensions and ‘entitlements’ and see how fast you get banned.
The Irish Golden Circle of Business Tycoons, the Media, Politicians and Public Sector Trade Unions has almost certainly come to an arrangement behind the scenes. Just like they did with the IMF bailout, and once more, regular Irish people will be paying for the eternal security of this Golden Circle all ramming their snouts in the same troughs.
O’Brien’s money is in the bank no matter what. Just a name change on the door. Right now, the Irish Political Elite have to create a fiasco so as to create the impression that they ‘listened to the protesters’.
