Norway’s startup scene is far from being among the world’s most visible. In Europe it is overshadowed by London and Berlin, and even in the Nordics, Oslo can’t compete with Stockholm, which enjoys the benefits of being closely associated with Spotify’s star. In part the country’s obscurity is due to the fact that its startups tend to be based in the B2B sector and in part it is simply because Norwegian startups don’t always aim to enter markets in countries outside of the Nordics.
A new cohort of tech companies are coming through, however, that already have their sights set on international markets. At Startup Extreme in Voss, Norway, WIRED.co.uk got an insight into some of the emerging tech talent that has global ambition.
