We would like to raise awareness of how bad the situation is in the Philippines and what we are doing to help the people rebuild their lives. To enable these people to rebuild their lives the first thing they need is food and water and to stay as healthy as possible. They also need to the tools to help them in their quest for building shelters and preparation of farm land to start growing their own crops again.
This event starts now and will finish when we have exhausted all possible resources. We are self funded and every penny raised or items donated will be shown in detail and transparently so you the people can see just exactly where your money and items are going.
There are many ways we can all help and become a part of this human conciousness that really cares. The reason for choosing the 25th for this event is with everyone’s help we can help provide food and other items which we often take for granted and know that we have also helped make other people’s lives a little better.
There are lots of ways you can help, there are so many things need to be done. We can not do this alone but together we can help make a difference. Hold a raffle between friends or at your place of work. Give away service or an item.
Can you help our plight? Could you hold a raffle in return for a gift or a service? If you are a business help sponsor a pallet of rice for shipment. Rice prices are around $400 a ton plus shipping.
We have a container going from Burnley, our friends on the ground have given us a list of priority items they need just to survive. With your help we can collectively contribute to helping these people getting their lives back in some form of order.
Items of utter importance are:
Tools, saws, hammers, nails generators
Food, dried foods, baby food, water tablets
We are also in talks with rice suppliers in Thailand and the surrounding areas for the best results regarding prices and shipping.
Some of you already know Computathugz (now copmuta thugz due to FB not liking us posting about how charities work) who has done some talks at TruthJuice events about education programs in area’s where there is none or very little unless they can pay, helped develop some of the poorest area’s of Bali with an education program for Bali Study Club as well as helped teaching English to staff in hospitals in Thailand. In England, with the help of his friends, they organised a community kitchen over the Christmas period and gave food to adults and children in many different area’s and refuges.
Christian has been involved with projects around SE Asia including raising funds for a new roof to be constructed at an orphanage in Bali and between family and friends have done many other fund raising events. He has also first hand experience of how the Filipino people are having to survive day in day out.
These people have known each other for over 25 years and watched each others projects closely with great admiration for helping other people in places they most need it. By teaming up together they are hoping to have maximum impact where it is needed the most while knowing both have the determination and the motivation to to help generate the maximum output for the Filipino people. Working together means we can reach a greater target audience and get this message out to people far and wide.

Every penny donated will be accounted for and go directly to the people of the Philippines. All accounts will be printed along with receipts for all products purchased on TruthJuice and other websites and social networks to show we are totally transparent about the funds unlike cause similar to that of Comic Relief where they invest in arms etc.
EDIT: From Christian.
Good news an bad news. Just spoke to a guy who deals with Filipino customs and he says he can help me with my container but he has been told off the Filipino government under no circumstances are they allowing clothes to be donated as it will be a drain on the economy as the clothing industry over there is a massive part of their economy. He did say that in war torn Kosovo he provides second hand clothes for the people there. So we can only send tools, toys, food, shelter equipment etc.
UPDATE
Just received notification from Christian Elmo Helm that the container being shipped to the Philippines will land around the 15th which was a bit short notice but there is around 10 days grace before all the paperwork is ready and it is released. Thank you to everyone who has donated items etc but now we want to have one last drive at this and push this cause as hard as we can. Just because the main stream media no longer report on the status of how bad things are there, it doesn’t mean its got any better. We will be meeting up there and helping as much as we possibly can on all levels and we still need your support.
We will have to purchase rice from there which works out around 50p per KG which is more expensive than we were hoping for but still this amount can help feed a family for a few days. It would have been better and cheaper to ship it from Thailand but with the ongoing events with the rice farmers and the government that has become an impossibility.
Christians paypal account is wotsappenin@msn.com if you could help by donating, even a pound is enough to buy 2KG which would feed two families for a few days or a large family for almost a week. We are not talking families with 10 children here, we are talking about whole families, uncles and aunts, grand parents, all living within there own community to help each other survive this dreadful disaster from the typhoon.
If you would like to know more information on how you can do a direct payment to the suppliers you can contact me on my personal email anthony@rustytub.com
Lets show these people who really are in desperate times of need that we DO care.
Thanks to everyone for their support so far but lewts see if we can give this one last push and give these people some hope and a reason to smile for, its not a lot to ask.
Many thanks
Anthony and Christian
