Sir Terry Pratchett, the author of the
popular Discworld fantasy series
has passed away, following a seven-year battle with Alzheimer’s
disease. He was 66, and died at home surrounded by his family and
beloved cat.
A post on the author’s official Facebook page broke
the sad news, saying: “It is with immeasurable sadness that we
announce that author Sir Terry Pratchett has died. The world has
lost one of its brightest, sharpest minds. Rest in peace Sir Terry
Pratchett.”
