Flesh-eating penis worms last roamed the earth 500 million years ago — and now scientists are using the remains of their teeth to track them down.
The unfortunately named critter had a tooth-lined throat resembling a cheese grater and could turn its mouth inside out to drag itself through the ancient sediment. Scientists at Cambridge University have been studying the fossilised remains of its teeth to track the previously-unrecognised creature around the world.
