Interact with digital fireworks at FutureCity 2015

At this years FutureCity 2015 event, hosted by the The
Quays/MediaCity UK and the University of Salford, Bafta
award-winning artist Seb Lee-Delisle will be lighting up Manchester
with fireworks of the digital kind.

PixelPyros is a dazzling virtual pyrotechnics
display, which will be projected onto a 18×12 metre screen. “There
are about 26 to 30 orbs of light projected along the bottom of the
screen,” says Lee-Delisle to WIRED.co.uk. When members of the
public interact with these orbs, they trigger the lights, which
spark off this virtual firework display.

Lee-Delisle stressed the importance of getting the
public engaged with his shows. “Nothing happens without the public
doing anything, and so far they haven’t let me down,” says the
artist who prefers to hand over control to the audience.
