Led by Nobel Laureate Andre Geim, U of M researchers have shown that the one-atom-thick materials graphene and hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) allow protons to pass through them, which could lead to more efficient fuel cells as well as extracting hydrogen from air. (PESWiki; December 15, 2014)
